A Community for Gospel Music Fans and Artists to attain advice

Well, God is opening doors, and i have accepted it. Now, i'm doing my first "not at a church" performance, singing for a 2 hour slot at a Christian coffeehouse. Can anyone tell me approx. how many songs i need? I'm thinking in the range of 25 or so, but just looking for advice from someone with more experience. Thanks for your help!!

Hey girl,
2 hours is ALOT of time, but I would say about 25 is right. Depending upon how much time you talk or testify in between songs.......
Congratualtions!

Will there be breaks in between? Normally there is when performing in restaurants especially if you are the only artist. That gives you time to talk to the people, sell some merchandise or just take a breather.Depending on the length of the songs and your intro to the songs 20 to 25 should be plenty.

I agree with the other posters. When I perform I always give testimony between certain songs and interact with the crowd. In fact some times I tend to talk too much, I could prob get away with 15 - 20 songs tops. All depends on your comfort level and faith in what you're doing. Good luck and God Bless.
