Bio

Chris is a professional musician who has been gifted by God with a great talent and prepared by Him to use it. While Chris has worked hard to hone his vocal abilities over many years he fully recognizes that his hard work is worth nothing without the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Chris began singing, as many other gospel singers, in church at the young age of two. Growing up without a great deal of material wealth, the family car seldom had a working radio or tape player so singing was a good way to pass the time. Chris had many chances to take his gifts from the car to the stage by continuing to sing in church at every chance. This is a tradition that continues to this day. Chris was privileged to discover the North Georgia School of Gospel Music at the age of eight. He spent many years looking forward to participation in this two-week school during the summer. At music school Chris began honing his musical gifts and learning new skills in music theory, aural skills, choral conducting, and composition. He was able to take these same skills to the next level with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music from Toccoa Falls College. During Chris’ time at Toccoa Falls College he had a great opportunity to tour with a small musical group sponsored by the college during two summer breaks. These two three month long tours instilled a love for taking the gifts that God has given him to God’s people and sharing the love and glory of the Lord with folks in song on a daily basis. Chris also enjoys writing music and has had several songs published over the years. When he is not singing Chris enjoys cooking, reading, and listening to good Christian music.
